It is important to us that you understand if you have benefits available from your insurance plan prior to your arrival at St. Helena Recovery Center. It is also important that you understand what your insurance company will cover, once you are here and after you have been diagnosed.

Step One

Understanding If You Have Insurance Coverage

Understanding your insurance benefits can be confusing. Each insurance company has its own qualifications and terminology. Insurance coverage falls under two categories: medical and behavioral. The 28-day program costs are typically covered under behavioral, and the medical costs, such as medical detox, medical examinations, etc. fall under the medical category. It is important to understand these distinctions.Our Client Advisors are well trained and can help you determine if you have benefits. It is important to have your policy number available. Our Client Advisors may ask you questions about what appears on your insurance card because often times an insurance card may include information on the back about your benefit coverage for medical, behavioral health and/or chemical dependency.

Step Two

Understand How Much Your Insurance Plan Will Pay Based On the Level of Care You Need

If it is determined that our program can benefit you and provide the tools you need for recovery, we then schedule a face-to-face Personal Assessment Appointment. At the Personal Assessment Appointment a counselor will review your alcohol or drug history and medical information, will administer a few tests, including a breathalyzer, and conduct a comprehensive assessment. This interview will determine if you meet the admissions criteria and what level of appropriate care is recommended.With the information obtained during the Personal Assessment Appointment, our Insurance Liaison will then contact your insurance carrier to determine if your insurance will cover the cost of care that is recommended. Our counselors will inform you how much your insurance will cover and any out-of-pocket costs based on the level of care you need.

Cash or Credit Card

St. Helena Recovery Center accepts cash or credit card for payment of the 28-day program and any out-of-pocket costs.

Financing

St. Helena Recovery Center offers a payment plan for up to 50% of the costs for the 28-day program.
