What To Bring

  • Insurance and IDs:
    Prescription cards, photo ID, driver’s license, and insurance cards.
  • Casual, Comfortable Clothes:
    Our atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Feel free to bring comfortable walking shoes, a warm jacket and rain gear as it gets cool in the evenings and mornings.
  • Gym Clothes and Lock:
    Feel free to bring gym clothes and a lock for your gym locker.
  • Personal Hygiene Items:
    Pack your toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, and shampoo, etc. Do not bring any personal hygiene products that contain alcohol.
  • Prescription Medications:
    Pack your medications (in the original bottle with doctor prescribed protocol) in a plastic Ziplock bag. These will be locked in an office and given to you at the appropriate times during the day.
  • Alarm Clock and Watch:
    You’ll want to pack an alarm clock as they are not included in your room.
  • Electronic Devices:
    The use of cell phones and other electronic devices are allowed after a participant completes the first full ten (10) days of the program. Cell phones and devices will be stored in a safe located in the St. Helena Recovery Center. After completion of ten days of treatment, cell phone usage is allowed but only from 7- 9 a.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. in your room or on the balcony. If your phone has a camera, be respectful of the anonymity of our guests. Please, only take pictures with other guests if you have their permission and do not post pictures on social networks.
  • Spending Money:
    During your stay, you will have an opportunity to go into town for client outtings. You also want some money for vending machines and our gift shop.
  • Free Time Activities:
    We have many opportunities for you to exercise, but feel free to pack a good book or some small games.

What Not To Bring

  • Bedding and Towels:
    We provide bedding and towels for you. So you do not need to bring them.
  • Valuables:
    Please leave valuables at home.

Good To Know

  • Smoking is allowed at designated times and in designated areas of the facility.
  • Internet Access: We do have internet access in public areas. Electronic devices are allowed after a participant completes the first full ten (10) days of the program. After completion of ten days of treatment, electronic device usage is allowed but only from 7- 9 a.m. and 7 -10 p.m. in your room or on the balcony.
